This was our first camping trip for this year. Michigan stayed cold too long this year. Last year we were camping by the end of April.

We spent last weekend at Pontiac Lake State Park in Waterford MI. Even though the weather man forecasted 60% chance of rain the rain held until Sunday night.
The theme for the weekend was mosquitoes, mosquitoes, mosquitoes. I sprayed, I zapped we got ate alive.

Despite all the bugs we had a great weekend, and was glad we were finally able to get away.

On Sunday we had a few family member come and share the day with us. We went to the beach and spent the day there, enjoying the warm weather, water and the great company.

                                                       Phillip
                                                       Trelon
                                          Trey's friend and her daughter
                                                          Mike
                                                        Tracy
                                                      Phillip Jr

The beach was not busy as I expected it to be, being the holiday weekend.

After spending time at the beach Tracy, Phillip and Phillip Jr came back to the camp site to enjoy the camp fire. The weather was great but the bugs would not behave.

What a great way to start our camping season. Thanks to everyone that came to spend the day with us.

More adventures to come.
